Environmental Awards help to recognize the tremendous work and accomplishments World Water Works has been achieving to making a positive influence in this world and providing sustainability towards our mission to change the world together with you. These environmental and other awards are simply a celebration that together with our clients we are changing the world to be more sustainable.

World Water Works believes that sustainability comes with innovation and creative and practical problem solving. One of World Water Works’ fundamental principles is to Constantly And Never-stop Improving (CANI). Thus, World Water Works is focused on innovation and has a very active Research and Development (R&D) department which has been accelerating its sustainability based research efforts and patent submissions tremendously. These new product developments promise to deliver clean water at lower operational costs while accomplishing energy recovery and resource recovery – yielding the lowest life cycle costs. The CANI principle is not only applied to our innovative technology, it is applied across the organization. For example, we recently implemented a state-of-the-art software system integrating CRM, project management, ERP, environmental engineering, process design, solidworks design, customer support and accounting across one single platform. This is making a very positive influence leading to tremendous internal efficiencies and promises efficient, cost-effective manufacturing and thorough communication and support of our clients on all aspects of our interactions.

Manufacturing Leadership 2016: New Product Leadership
World Water Works, a leading designer and manufacturer of wastewater treatment solutions, was selected by Frost & Sullivan’s Manufacturing Leadership (ML) Council’s 2016 Manufacturing Leadership Awards for manufacturing the patent-pending new AvN™ technology, developed by DC Water and Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD). The prestigious Manufacturing Leadership Awards honor manufacturing companies and individual leaders that are shaping the future of global manufacturing. World Water Works was recognized along with three other companies, Daikin Applied Americas, Inc., Hernon Manufacturing, Inc., and The Dow Chemical Company, in the New Product Leadership category.
AAEES Honor Award for Environmental Sustainability
World Water Works, Inc. and Virginia utility Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD), received the American Association of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES) Honor Award for Environmental Sustainability, for implementation of the first DEMON® sidestream deammonification system in North America This is an anammox based system. The system reduces energy consumption by 60%, eliminates the need for a carbon source and reduces sludge by 90%! This has truly made a positive influence on the economics of operating this plant and has the potential to really change the world the more this innovative technology is applied.
ACEC Project of the Year – Arkansas – Largest Poultry Water Reuse System in the World
World Water Works, Inc. and its partners has been awarded the Environmental Awards – Project of the Year for its innovative technology demonstrating sustainability through treating a poultry plants final process water “wastewater” to extent that it is not only clean water but it meets USDA guidelines for potable water and is therefore used back in the process for water reuse. This plant demonstrates application of truly innovative technology which has the potential to really change the world and provide sustainability in areas of the world with water scarcity.

World Water Works has been a long time participant in the Enterprise Excellence Group (EEG) – a consortium of Lean practitioners that come together to grow their Lean knowledge and implementation efforts. EEG honored World Water Works for all its advancements in lean manufacturing by nominating it for a case study and site tour and workshop.
