Senior Biological Process Technology Engineer
Job Description

Reports to: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary
The Biological Process / Senior Biological Process Technology Engineer provides process engineering design, equipment quotation requirement & proposal development to support sales in the pursuit of new sales opportunities. They will also support the submittal development of new projects and the fulfilment teams on World Water Works biological technologies. This position may also survey facilities and design site specific schematics, and analyze building floor plan diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to plan, coordinate, and carryout the installation activities outlined in site-specific installation plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical design and guidance on company technical products, programs and systems.
  • Assists in the design, sale and delivery of biological technologies including Anammox related as well as BOD, Nitrification and Total Nitrogen removal processes including Anammox systems.
  • Participates in pre-job planning and inspection, training and start-up of systems.
  • Develops and maintains a positive relationship with the clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Is responsible for delivering superior Service Quality to the client
  • Perform bench technician work (testing, diagnostics, repair, calibration), following standard procedures to provide high-quality service in line with customer expectations and company service and revenue goals
  • Verify / validate engineering / technical documentation
  • Ability to support and prioritize multiple tasks, problems, and projects based on customers’ expectations, criticality, and operation impacts.

 

Job Specifications: In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skill, and ability typically required to do so.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required):
  • Bachelor of science degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering
  • 1-5 years of experience in the civil/environmental and municipal engineering field, with a concentration in wastewater design is highly desired
  • Experience / knowledge related to troubleshooting biological process control system issues
  • Basic comprehension of biological process management and control
  • Knowledge with biological systems and/or liquid/solids separation unit operations
  • Proven ability to train and instruct on biological processes / laboratory techniques
  • Experience with AutoCAD is desired but not required
  • Organized, punctual and self-starter
  • Interact professionally with clients and customers
  • Experienced in calibration of instruments and controls
