What is WWW™ MBBR Technology?
The WWW™ MBBR (moving bed biofilm reactor) is a proven, fixed-film biological process for treating municipal and industrial wastewater for BOD removal, nitrification and even denitrification. With one of the smallest footprints in the industry, this biological system is highly effective at tolerating load swings and temporary load deprivation.
Freely moving bio-media provides a large protected surface area for beneficial biofilm growth. The bacteria digest organics in the waste stream, converting soluble material into a biomass that can be removed downstream.
